FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What should I include in a profile inquiry?+

A section drawing, dimensions, quantity, application, operating conditions and any required standards. If the design is still developing, describe the function and constraints.

Can I discuss a custom cross-section?+

Yes. Custom projects begin with a review of the drawing and intended application. Tooling, materials, tolerances and sampling requirements are then defined for the specific project.

Are published photographs a product specification?+

No. Product photographs show examples from the manufacturers’ portfolios. Dimensions, material grades and performance must be agreed in the accepted technical specification.

Can you supply evidence for European or North American requirements?+

Include the required standard, test method and certification scope in your inquiry. Availability and applicability of documentation must be checked for the exact product. No blanket CE, ASTM, UL or other certification is implied.

How are minimum quantities and lead times determined?+

They depend on the profile, material, tooling status and production plan. Submit your drawing and quantity for a project-specific commercial review.

How should dimensions be supplied?+

Use clearly identified units and a drawing revision. Millimeters are preferred; inch-based drawings can be discussed. Include tolerances for dimensions that affect assembly or performance.
